Aaron Robertson, Director

Aaron is originally from the Kapiti Coast, and began work in the surveying industry in 2003, in his last year of high school. Through undertaking work experience and together with his passion for the outdoors, he figured out early on that this was the career for him. These catalysts saw Aaron head to the South Island to begin his Bachelor of Surveying at Otago University, from which he graduated in 2007. From there he spent a few years working in the challenging environment of Western Australia doing predominately mining and engineering survey work.

In 2010 Aaron moved back to New Zealand and gained his registration, passing the Professional Entrance Examination. He received the Percy Dyett award which recognizes the best Land Development Engineering candidate in the Professional Examinations.

Over the past 12 years Aaron has worked on a variety of interesting projects. His passion for the outdoors sent him back to the West Coast of the South Island, where he cut his teeth on some challenging rural subdivisions, and open cast mining projects. He then crossed the Southern Alps to Christchurch, where he initially assisted with earthquake recovery projects, then decided to stay to work on several land development projects in the earthquake damaged city.

From 2015 to 2017 Aaron was based in Auckland. There he worked in the civil construction industry, managing land development projects, and assisting with legal land surveys.

In 2017 Aaron decided to make the Bay of Plenty his home, working as a Licensed Surveyor.

Aaron lives on a lifestyle block with his partner and three young children. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, playing squash and golf when time allows, and making the most of the stunning beaches here in the beautiful Bay of Plenty.
